Friendly Hills Grange Camp and Conference Center, via the Ohio Grange Charitable Foundation, Inc.'s mission statement, is here to serve the public with educational events.
The camp conducts several events throughout the year to accomplish this goal.
Some of these events include:
· Jr. Grange Camp
· Grange Youth Camp
· Frog Day
· Heritage Festival
Along with a co-op agreement with the Muskingum County Soil & Water Conservation District which holds various educational programs and events throughout the year.

Our Camp's Caretaker, Mike Welsh, comes from an educational background in the field of wildlife, biology, and Natural Resources. Mike holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in the field of Parks, Recreation, and Wildlife and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in the field of Biology.
Mike has run an animal rescue, Wild Rescue One, since 2001. Mike has rescued and rehabilitated native wildlife following ODNR's Wildlife Rehabilitation guidelines. Mike has also rescued exotic animals from personal owners, pet shops, veternarians, and other professional organizations. Through this rescue, Mike has presented numerous presentations to schools, youth groups, college's,business and the general public from pre-school to adult ages. Mike is very knowledgeable about Ohio's Native Wildlife and on Exotic Animals. His specialty is reptiles and amphibians.

Huskies are very independent in nature and need persistent guidance Siberians also shed their coat once or twice a year by the bushel basketful The last point about shedding has been a key question that they recieve all the time. Friends of Mike's run a dog kennel for Siberian Huskies. Their names are Rachel and Casey Goodpaster. The kennel is Northern Slope Siberians. They breed and sell huskies. They are asked tons of questions about the breed. Rachel and Casey also screen their customers on their understanding of the breed to determine if a husky is the right pet for them.
